Dozier-Flowers-Morris

Riding along Church Street in Dawson you'll see this Queen-Anne Eclectic style home which was built in 1896. It was the newlywed home of George and Pearle Dozier.
As ws often the style of that time, the kitchen was originally a separate structure from the house, connected by a breezeway. In the early 1900s the breezeway was enclosed, effectively attaching the kitchen to the house. However, the kitchen became a bedroom, and the breezeway became the kitchen.
This house has had a long and rich history. In 1995 Ilene and Wayne Morris made it their home and are restoring its beauty.
