English-Boyd-Rakel

Located on Lee Street, NE in Dawson, this home dates from the early 1900s. It orginally was a blend of Queen Anne and Greek Revival styles. By the time that Webb and Lisa Boyd acquired the home in 1989, the wrap-around porch and columns had been removed. Only the Queen Anne details are visible today in the windows and gables.
The interior has been modernized, in keeping with today's standard of living. The orginal heart-pine floors remain, as well as the plaster walls and twelve-foot ceilings.
