2 miles south of Dawson, on Herod Road, this home was built in the 1840s as a four-room farm house in the Dogtrot style. All of the ourbuilding, including the barn, date back to the early farming days.
Loring and Pat Stapleton acquired the property in 1963. They began their restoration which includes the redwood paneling on the front exterior which came from an old icehouse.
