Griggs-Duskin

Church Street in Dawson is where you will find this Neo-Colonial home, built circa 1890. Judge James Griggs acquired the home in 1897, complete with connecting kitchen, barn, and smokehouse. Through the years, extensive changes were made by the Griggs. Mosted noted is the portico addition. During Judge Griggs Congressional term, he acquired the Adams style mantelpiece from the U.S. Capitol.
Since 1970, Colonel and Mrs. Duskin have added their refinements to this stately stucture and its surrounding landscape.
