This Carpenter-Gothic style home on Church Street was built circa 1865. It was deeded to the Beorgia Baptist Orphans Home in 1932. Mr. Henry Jennings purchased it in 1936, and the Highsmiths in 1983.
The house features pure heart-pine construction. The main floor beams are mortise and tenon fitted, secured by wooden pegs. Some structural changes were made in the 1930s.
